The vineyards are arranged in terraces on the volcanic sandy soils of Pantelleria, and each single plant is protected by small hollows dug into the ground, which serve as shelter from the wind and sun. It is a suggestive and charming landscape, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
