This area, which represents the largest and most extensive vineyard park in South Tyrol, has achieved excellent results in terms of grape quality thanks to intense and careful zoning work. The “Fallwind” from San Michele Appiano is made from pure Schiava grapes, an indigenous red grape variety that has been the most widespread in this region for centuries. The vineyards, located at an altitude of about 400-450 meters and facing south/east, are cultivated using the South Tyrolean pergola system on soils characterized by gravelly soils with high limestone content. The winery, founded in 1907, now consists of more than 340 member growers, representing one of the most important cooperative realities we have in our country.

The Schiava "Fallwind" from San Michele Appiano is produced with carefully selected and harvested grapes towards the end of September.
