Around the mid-nineteenth century, Carlo Gancia went to Reims to learn the secrets of Champagne. Upon returning home, he created the Fratelli Gancia company with his brother Edoardo and in 1865 produced the first Italian Classic Method using Moscato Bianco grapes. Subsequently, the territory chose the path of the Martinotti and Charmat methods for the sparkling production of Moscato, dispersing this historical heritage. Although in Oltrepò Pavese, at the beginning of the twentieth century, experiments began to produce the Classic Method, the true rebirth of the Italian Classic Method is due to the post-war period, both with the growth of production in Oltrepò, but especially thanks to the contribution of Franciacorta. The Brescia denomination decided to focus solely on the Classic Method and today it is a famous brand worldwide for the excellence of its production. In recent decades, other denominations dedicated exclusively to the Classic Method have emerged and are currently experiencing strong growth, particularly Trento Doc and Alta Langa Docg. Today, interesting Classic Method labels are produced in all Italian regions, from Valle d’Aosta to Sicily, and indigenous bubbles are a peculiarity that offers pleasant surprises.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"CallMeWine","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":56140956860800,"sku":"SAC93107","price":238.0,"currency_code":"SGD","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0668\/1860\/5335\/files\/wine-box-metodo-classico-italiano-6bt-303864_1fa217c8-2768-4544-bd3d-e12d88832516.png?v=1792767956","url":"https:\/\/checkout.callmewine.sg\/products\/wine-box-italian-classical-method","provider":"Callmewine UK","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
