The Barolo “Aleste” by Luciano Sandrone is a truly legendary label that captures the eye of all enthusiasts of great Italian red wines. It is a pure Nebbiolo that defies the passage of time, endowed with great completeness of flavor and an excellently developed aromatic spectrum, which can evolve for the next 10-15 years. A bottle that reaches the top of the main Italian and international industry guides, confirming a product that should be tasted at least once in a lifetime. Class and talent: a monument of the Langhe!
“Aleste” Barolo is produced by the Luciano Sandrone winery starting from pure Nebbiolo grapes, cultivated in the most prestigious cru of the entire denomination, that of Cannubi Boschis. The vines are about 35 years old, and are therefore at the peak of maturity to bring rich clusters of flavors and aromas to harvest. The must ferments in steel containers, macerating for 12 days. Malolactic fermentation takes place in large French oak barrels, 25% of which are new. The aging follows, carried out first for 24 months in tonneau and then, after bottling, for another 18 months directly in glass.
The “Aleste” Luciano Sandrone Barolo reveals itself to the eye with a hue reminiscent of garnet. Truly splendid is the ensemble of aromas offered to the nose, which recalls the underbrush and notes that shift from fruity to earthy and spicy, also proposing light hints of cocoa. On the palate it is majestic, rich and structured, with a sip that flows with great ease, almost silky; it finishes with an incredible persistence. If an event or occasion is approaching and you are unsure of which wine to gift, you can be sure that with this label you will make a splendid impression.
