Cannonau Riserva 'Chuerra' Jerzu 2019

Antichi Poderi Jerzu's Cannonau "Chuerra" is a full-bodied and intense red wine that perfectly embodies the ancient and traditional soul of Sardinia. It is the fruit of the typical viticultural and oenological practices of the area: the gentle slopes of the Gennargentu that slope down towards the sea, towards white sands and a spectacular sea.
The Cannonau vines of Poderi Jerzu, located at an altitude of 500 to 700 meters, thus enjoy the beneficial influences of the coast and produce grapes with intense aromas and good alcohol content. In the winery, over which the large wine tower dominates unchallenged, production techniques are kept faithful to tradition according to criteria that prioritize quality.
Cannonau "Chuerra" is part, together with Cannonau "Josto Miglior," of the "Founder Line," that is, a selection of unique and representative wines of the winery. One only has to taste it to realize it: balsamic and spicy breezes arrive on the nose, with variations of anise, liquorice, pine bark and eucalyptus; in the mouth, it weaves savoriness, warmth, depth and freshness into a unique, varied and flavorful taste, making it an ideal accompaniment to traditional Sardinian first courses or savoury main courses of roasted meat.
