Chardonnay 'Somereto' Andriano 2020

The "Somereto" by Andriano is a pure Chardonnay that is part of the Classic wines line, designed to express the typicity of the grape variety and especially the characteristics of the splendid Alto Adige terroir. Chardonnay has been cultivated for centuries in South Tyrol, where it has found a perfect habitat to express itself at interesting qualitative levels, with an excellent balance between fruity aromas and freshness. It is a wine with an intense profile, with particularly rich aromas ranging from floral hints to white fruit and more mature nuances of exotic fruit and banana.

The Chardonnay “Somereto” is produced in the Andriano area, from vineyards cultivated in hilly areas, at an altitude of about 260-380 meters above sea level, on red soil composed of limestone rocks, clays, and white dolomitic stone. An area that has proven particularly suitable for enhancing the qualities of elegance and finesse of the famous Burgundy grape variety. After the harvest, the grapes are sent for fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. The wine matures on the lees, still in steel, for about 6 months, before being bottled.

"Somereto" Andriano is a Chardonnay that well expresses the vocation of the Alto Adige territory to enhance the best qualities of the grape variety, staying true to the characteristic profile of mountain wines, focused especially on the pleasant mineral freshness and the ripeness of the fruit. The color is bright straw yellow, crossed by greenish streaks. On the nose, it opens with scents of white flowers, fruity and citrus aromas, with soft hints of exotic fruit and banana. The sip is harmonious, with a perfect balance between the fruit and the fresh, savory component.
