The Friulano by Bastianich is a harmonious, soft white wine, with a rich and expressive fruit. A version of the ancient French grape variety Sauvignonasse, previously known in Friulian land as Tocai, which emphasizes the breadth and maturity of the fruit. The bouquet expresses aromas of yellow fruit, hints of aromatic herbs, and nuances of almond. The sip is full and satisfying, harmonious and intense, with a finish on the typical savory notes of the terroir.

The Friulano wine from the Bastianich winery is produced with grapes coming from vineyards cultivated in the hilly areas of Premariccio, Cividale del Friuli, and Prepotto, with exposures to the east and southeast, with a planting density of 4000-8000 vines per hectare, on soils made up of limestone marls and sandstones, the famous ponca friulana, rich in minerals. The vineyards are located at an altitude ranging from 100 to 180 meters above sea level. They are protected from cold winds by the first ridges of the Julian Alps, and the Mediterranean heat is mitigated by breezes rising from the nearby Adriatic Sea. Once the harvest is completed, the grapes are destemmed and softly pressed.of the grapes. The free-run must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 16-18 °C for 15-20 days. Before bottling, the wine ages for six months on the lees in steel, to acquire more body and structure.

The Bastianich Friulano is a rather rich version, which aims primarily to enhance the ripe fruit and the aromatic breadth of the grape variety, emphasizing its natural characteristics of expressive harmony and balance. In appearance, it presents a beautiful bright straw yellow. On the nose, it expresses delicate floral notes, aromas of pear, peach, ripe yellow fruit, nuances of almond, and medicinal herbs. On the palate, it has a good structure, with rich and juicy fruit, dense in aromas and persistent, extending towards a salty and slightly almondy finish, with moderate freshness.
