The “Moreé” is a soft, pleasant, and pleasantly rustic red wine produced by the Piccolo Bacco dei Quaroni winery, located in the countryside of Oltrepò Pavese. Local indigenous grape varieties, the use of indigenous yeasts, and low yields per hectare are the guiding principles of Mario, Laura, Giulia, and Tommaso, four friends who in 2001 decided to buy a piece of land and produce wine. The bottles are simple, genuine, and unpretentious, like this blend that releases flavor and body without overwhelming the palate.
The red “Moreé” from Piccolo Bacco dei Quaroni is obtained from the blending of two red grapes. Both grape varieties are trained on renewed trellises following the principles of organic farming; permanent natural cover cropping and limited, exclusively organic fertilizations. The harvest is done manually, and the bunches, after being destemmed and pressed, ferment spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in steel where they macerate on the skins for 15 days.
ruby red in color with violet reflections. The aromatic profile is rich and fruity; notes of cherry and ripe plum fill the nose and anticipate an explosion of aromas of red flowers that confer elegance and richness to the bouquet. The sip is well balanced; balanced in its components of body and freshness, resulting in a harmonious, decisive, and at the same time pleasant, captivating, and easy-drinking wine. A bottle suitable for any occasion, versatile and jovial, perfect for accompanying summer barbecues, but also rich and flavorful winter dishes.
