The Riesling from the Endrizzi winery is a fresh and mineral white produced in the Masetto area, in the municipality of San Michele all'Adige in Trentino. This label is obtained from pure Riesling grapes sourced from vineyards cultivated using the guyot method in an alpine microclimate, which ensures strong temperature excursions that promote the development and finesse of the aromas. The soils of the vineyards that make up this white, located in the Masetto and Pressano areas, are characterized by soils rich in dolomitic and siltstone rocks with loamy-sandy deposits. The winery, family-run for several generations, is now the owner of about 17 hectares of vineyards plus 38 hectares from other suppliers, all managed using agronomic practices aimed at respecting and safeguarding soil fertility.
The Riesling from Endrizzi is produced from grapes hand-harvested towards the end of September and only after careful selection of the best bunches, choosing those that have reached full phenolic maturity. Once they arrive in the winery, the grapes undergo a delicate destemming and crushing followed by cold maceration of the must for 4/6 hours on their own skins. This is followed by alcoholic fermentation which takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. At the end of fermentation, the wine is racked, after which it remains in aging for several months, on its own lees, in stainless steel containers with frequent batonnage, before being filtered and bottled.
The Riesling from the Endrizzi winery presents itself with a straw yellow color with slight greenish reflections. On the nose, intense aromas of fresh fruit appear, including peach and apple, citrus notes of grapefruit, floral hints of white and yellow flowers, finishing with mineral and spicy notes. On the palate, it is agile, decisive, and vertical, with a beautiful freshness that makes it very pleasant to drink. This label from Endrizzi fully represents all the finesse and elegance of mountain wines.
