Rum Barbados 'Remember' Moon Import

Rum Barbados 'Remember' by Moon Import is a Caribbean spirit that evokes the exotic atmosphere of the island of Barbados. Rum is undoubtedly one of the world's most famous and popular spirits, produced from one key ingredient: sugar cane. Regarding etymology, one hypothesis refers to the English word 'rumble', meaning 'bubbling', while another theory attributes the origin of the word 'rum' to the scientific name for sugar cane, namely Saccharum officinarum.
Moon Import Rum Barbados 'Remember' is made from sugar cane grown on the island of Barbados. The molasses obtained from pressing and processing the ripe plant is left to ferment and then the fermented product is distilled in Patent Still continuous stills. The precious liquid is then placed in oak barrels previously used to mature sherry, whisky or brandy. As with all products bottled by Moon Import, the ageing and bottling phases take place in Scotland, where the special climatic conditions create an ideal environment for the optimal sensory evolution of the rum. Moreover, by virtue of the long and established tradition they have behind them, the Scots are masters in the art of ageing spirits.
The colour of Rum Barbados 'Remember' Moon Import is deep amber. The nose is composed of heady, soft hints of criollo persimmon, cinnamon, nutmeg and dried heather. In the mouth, it is warm, rich and deep in its hints of sweet wood, Greek sultanas and turmeric, with a long spicy and citrus finish.
