Viognier D'A 2013

The Viognier D'A gently keeps the characteristics of this variety. Typical of the northern Rhone, Viognier has spread worldwide since twenty years, becoming protagonist of a real trend of wine world, conquering lands as far away as Australia and California. It is, however, a very particular grape variety; not easy to grow because of the strong unpredictability of its fruits that can suddenly ripen, creating quick changes in the level of alcohol. The letters D’A, are the initials of Domain Astruc, named after the founder Jean Astruc that in 1862 was chasing a dream. As often happens to those who make a job that don’t fascinate them anymore, he decided to buy 12 hectares of vineyard. After tasting Viognier D'A, we can say that this cellar has done a long journey since when a man realize his dream. Today Domain Astruc creates a wine that is well suited to serve as ambassador to the terroir in which it is made. An elegant white wine pleasant for its intense bouquet, fruity and floral, combined with mineral nuances that anticipate its flavor and freshness.
